My wife and I have been patronizing Alfonso's in Prescott Valley, Arizona for quite a while now; six or seven years at least. We often get our favorite special order, a breakfast burrito with eggs, potato, cheese, pico de gallo, and chicken. (Whew... I guess we're one of those old predictable couples now that we used to make fun of. We both worked in food service together for over 10 years so we know what quality food is and how inportant friendly knowledgeable service is!) So yes... the staff is, in general, very friendly and the food quality is consistently very good. One attractive young lady who has helped us almost every time we eat there never has a problem relaying all our special needs and requests to the cooks (rice and avacado allergies, and menu changes like our chicken breakfast burrito;) Amazingly, the orders always come the way we requested them exactly. (Every other counter service restaraunt we get "to go" food from we have to inspect our order before leaving.) Thanks!
I agree, no they don't. But I can recommend Olivas...good food at reasonable prices and very helpful staff makes Olivas a very good choice for just about any need.
Either in the noon or early morning is the best time, but once they sell out, they dont make anymore
Please keep in mind whether its fast food, retail or even medical for that matter. People usually start cleaning up all the mess from day depending on how their day went. Typically going to any RESTAURANT A HALF HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSE ISNT WISE. Hubby has been going there for years and never had an issue never but keep in mind he's never gone there 30 minutes before closing. If your absolutley hungry yes, keep in mind they've worked just like anyone else for that day. You take a gamble with the choice of going that late. Remember it is what it is, and if you are that dissatisfied with the place well, then like you said time to find a new place. Best of luck in your hunt for a better place💖
I love Alfonsos but the Prescott Valley location is not good for business. In the bathroom, I saw a mouse, there was no hand soap, or paper towels. This place is trashy in comparison to every other location in Prescott/Prescott Valley.
I can't speak to their food, but I can speak to their lack of social skills. Attached is a picture of them parking in the middle of our yard, without permission (or even asking for permission for that matter), on a daily basis. We left a note but will likely have to explore towing options at this point.Their house is across the street. It's the one with a 2 car garage and 2 spaces already taken up by their personal vehicle and work trailer. Apparently that's not enough room for them so they expanded (they have a yard and the street too).Personally I question the quality of any company with such a blatant disrespect for the personal property of their neighbors. I expect this translates to a number of things in how the restaurant is managed and food is prepared.
This place is a must when in Prescott. Home of the biggest burrito and the best Mexican food around.
Great food... But never open on time. Most days they don't open until 7:20am or 7:30am even though the sign says 7:00am. False advertising
Best carne asada burritos in town
Never a bad burrito at this place......
Good food beautiful cashier makes it worth while
Always amazing food & super affordable!
Pretty good food..
Better than all the Berto's combined.
Great food! Good prices too.
Used to come here every other morning for a burrito but this morning it was super small and they forgot the potatoes. When I called to complain she simply said "ok". So ok, guess what, I won't be back!
They have the best food thats close to home
Zero customer service. They Don't smile or acknowledge your saying thanks. The inside is so dirty with so many flies you cant eat in piece. There's dust bunnies hanging over your table ready to fall. I would never recommend nor will i take my family back. Go somewhere else.
Love the Carniasda fries. Today they were not very good. Meat had no flavor. What a waste of money. I have once again ordered the Carni Asada fries on a Sat. and had the same problem. Carni Asada meat should have marinated meat. What is wrong with you?
The food here is as good as it was years ago. The price has gone up a bit but the food tastes the same and there is a good amount for the price.
Home town favorite!!!! Blue collar Mexican food at a great price. I love all of the family owned Alfonso's unlike the other chain restaurants.
One of the few places I trust to eat from since moving to PV. So far I am a big fan of their breakfast and carne asada burritos! The food reminds me of home! 10/10 I definitely recommend this place! Whatever it is that you order, if you're a fan of spicy and flavorful sauce, be sure to grab a couple of servings of their freshly made red salsa. Genial!
delicious mexican food. I get totally filled up off one meal every time. service is off and on depending on who is there.
Great greasy spoon spot! Best Mexican food in the area ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Went in to order and the lady behind the counter was going off on someone in the back. Walked out.
Good food every time, the staff is always so friendly and gets you what you need! Been here at least 25 times and I will keep going. PS, cleanest Mexican fast food joint in Cottonwood!
We had bean and cheese burritos. They are simple enough, but with the right beans and tortillas, they can be great! Add the salsa on top and it was delicious! We called the order in from about 5-7 minutes away and our order was ready to be picked up. We only ever have to interact with the cashier, but she is always friendly and fast.
The food is great and large portions.
This was the first time going there after hearing about it so much. I ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito and wow, people were not kidding. Ate almost half and taking the rest to work for lunch. The taste is great, it's packed to the brim. Would definitely recommend it!
Always good food and the people that work there are always so kind and nice.
Typical flavor!! Quick bite on the way out. Big big carne asada burrito! Tasty street taco special!!
Normally food is good. I tried to call in my order & nobody answered phone, which really made me mad when I showed up and only 1 person in restaurant. Poor service. The bacon breakfast burrito I got for my husband was nearly inedible, it looked like the bacon had be chewed up before put in burrito. It looked nasty. He wouldn't even eat it.
Great customer interactions. Very kind people. Their food is delicious and well priced. Every time i go they will continue to receive my praise on their food and their customer service.
Very nice food was good service was great and very guite
Decent food at a reasonable price you guys must have gotten a new chef the food has improved
No place beats this in town. Best salsa bar ever. REAL Mexican food. Try the Loco and the Tito burritos. Trust me awesome.
Great place to eat for sure, good prices, great portions
We always enjoy it for years now
Good quality large portions.
It was very dirty, there was a mouse in the bathroom and they messed up my order! The customer service skills are not good at all here either. Will not be going to this location again.
Absolutely by far my favorite Mexican food in town. Staff is wonderful and their food is great. I usually order the 5 rolled taco supreme and I am never let down by this family. The building however is rather run down, but I don't have much to say regarding the building as I am on the go with my food
Big piles of awesome food. You will not go hungry here!
Good food, good prices, fast service.
The food is good. I come here often. I like that their fish tacos are made with cod and not talapia. The only complaint I have is the quality of their cheese. It doesn't melt very good, you can tell it's over processed plastic cheese. Having good cheese is important for Mexican food..... besides that everything is good.
Very tasty and lots of it, had the two beef Tamale plate with rice and beans and wife got Carne Asada burrito and Horchata - delicious.
The food is pretty good, freshly made, good flavor. But unfortunately, the service is terrible. The lady at the counter was rude, cold and pretty much threw our food order at us, she didn't handed the food, she threw at the counter and it was it.. There was not a hello, thank you, welcome, do you need anything else, nothing! Not a smile, no eye contact, just an annoying face and attitude, as is our presence was getting in the way of her exciting chatting with the kitchen staff.I've never seen anything like it! It was horrible. It doesn't matter how good the food is if it makes you extremely uncomfortable to eat there, even order out. There are other good Mexican's food restaurants around town, avoid this one.
I always love Alfonso's food and the people there are very friendly too😊
Greasy, cheesey, and delicious mexican food for when nothing else will do.
Excellent service, clean lobby and bathrooms, and amazing food. I ordered 3 Alfonzo burritos for my group and they were ready quickly. Would recommend.
Is everyone gonna ignore the fact that this place gives you food poisoning? Me, my friends, and many people I’ve came across all claim the same thing.
Large portions but the meat was a little overdone and all the toppings made the crispy flautas soggy. My son was thrilled with the taco that was almost as big as his head. Good value the pricing was affordable.
Great food. I eat there often.
Great food and a lot of it.🐈
This is literally the only Mexican food i will ever eat. For just over $7 you get a mammoth 2 pound burrito! I would seriously suggest eating here.
